AREA's Training & Capacity Building Department provides comprehensive skills development and business training programs for youth and vulnerable groups. We recognize that sustainable employment and entrepreneurship are critical pathways out of poverty and for building resilient communities.
Our programs address livelihood and commercial vulnerabilities by providing market-demanded skills training, business development coaching, and job placement support. We focus on practical, skills-based training that leads to immediate employment or income generation opportunities.

Who We Train

We prioritize training for young people aged 15-35, particularly those unemployed or underemployed, providing them with market-demanded skills to secure sustainable employment.

Special focus on women and girls, with 50% of program participants being female. We offer training in both traditional and emerging income-generating activities.
